DevOps Engineer (m/f) (Loans)

We are looking for experienced DevOps (m/f) with a very good understanding of what software development (Dev) and software operation (Ops) are all about (processes, best practices, tooling, collaboration mentality) to work closely with the development teams in order to maintain and improve the software infrastructure. You will build up our start of the art CD platform as well as monitoring/logging/alerting systems to help automate and enable self-serviced IT teams. As the DevOps Engineer (m/f), you will join a superb technology team using the latest open source technology to support our highly successful tech enabled business.


Your responsibilities

  • Build up of state of the art Kubernetes/Docker based self service runtime platform, covering all aspects including build, deploy, scaling, monitoring/alerting/logging, etc
  • Modernize the existing continuous delivery infrastructure to better support the development teams and enable our future vision (Git, Jenkins)
  • Bring DevOps culture & mindset into the development teams, though knowledge sharing, trainings, coaching and your passion for it
  • Build up of state of the art monitoring, alerting, logging & metrics systems - enabling full application systems transparency both for the business and IT
  • Support the development teams and business in getting the system insights they need in a hands on supportive manner
  • Drive the automation of system configuration management (Linux) using Ansible
  • Management of various OS’s (Debian, CoreOS, Windows)

Your qualifications

  • Unrivalled expertise across the DevOps stack (Development experience with Python/Java/Go/similar language, Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Capistrano, Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery, Containerisation, Agile, Automation and testing etc.)
  • Either a systems engineering or software engineering background (or both, if you think you're up for it!), preferably with some experience of Java frameworks.
  • Completed degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
  • Commercial Kubernetes/Docker experience is a must have
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CDGO, etc and supporting CD tooling such as Sonar, Nexus, etc
  • Hands on experience in setup and maintaining CD pipelines
    Nice to have:
  • Experience in modern logging/alerting/monitoring/metrics stacks such as ELK, Grafana Prometheus, etc
  • Experience in setting up incident support processes supported by tools such as PagerDuty or OpsGenie
  • Experience with system configuration automation utilizing Ansible or similar
